Purchased at public auction in 1980 by the late Earl Ronald Chason and Hanne A. Chason meeting both a personal goal for the Chason's as well as a place for them to raise their four daughters where the girls could cultivate their individual and varied interests with horses, Guernsey dairy cattle and farm life in general.
Situated with a wonderfully unique view of Long Green Valley, what is now known as ROHA Farms has undergone many changes over the years. The 60 acre farm was entered into the Agricultural Land Conservation in 2001. At one time it was part of the Burton Estate that overlooked much of Long Green Valley. It was part of Kress Dairy explaining the many turkey and chicken buildings and the original dairy barn that is now the hydroponic greenhouse. The oldest buildings on the farm are the original part of the main house circa 1840 and the corncrib building circa 1860.
